We are thrilled to continue our legacy of supporting the youth in our local community. Last year, we were able to award two college bound high school seniors with scholarships. This year, KEY is looking to award two scholarships in the amount of $1,500 to college bound high school seniors.

Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority, Inc. is a sorority of more than 2,000 female retirees, veterans, and active-duty service members from all branches of the Armed Forces. Mentorship of future leaders is one of the three principles of our organization’s mission of Honor, Unite, and Mentor. One of the ways that the Augusta Xi Chapter of Kappa Epsilon Psi supports the mentorship of future leaders is by providing financial resources to help students pursue a college education.

The two college bound high school seniors Augusta Xi's chapter will be awarding the $1500.00 scholarships to must meet the criteria listed below.

Applicants must:

▪ Be a High school Senior that attends a public or charter high school within Columbia and Richmond Counties in Georgia

▪ Have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale

▪ Be active in their respective community through volunteerism

Application Process:

▪ Provide official high school transcript

▪ Provide typed list of academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities

▪ Provide one letter of verification of community service with the active dates, hours, and contact information of the activity (signed by mentor or event organization leader)

▪ Submit a 500 word double spaced typed essay in 12-point Arial font on the following topic:

Do you believe Artificial Intelligence (AI)  will benefit the future generations?  If so, how, and if not, why not?

Provide two typed letters of recommendation from the following choices:

▪ High School principal/Teacher/Counselor

▪ Organizational Sponsor

▪ Volunteer Coordinator

▪ Community Leader / Clergy

▪ Employer **Recommendations from family members will not be accepted

Additional Details:

▪ There is no fee to apply for our scholarship.

▪ All completed applications must be submitted online to xischolar@militarysorority.com by March 31, 2024.

▪ Applicants will be notified via email of the award status no later than April 15, 2024.

▪ We will make every effort to come to the senior recognition ceremonies to announce the winner in front of their peers and family members. (if allowed) 

▪ Prior to the presentation of the actual check, the winner will need to present proof of registration from the registrar’s office of the college selected.
